INSIDE THE 18: New York Red Bulls Return to Play at MLS is Back Tournament -

The New York Red Bulls are back in action. Following an extended layoff, the team returns to the pitch in their first match of MLS is Back Tournament.

Head Coach Chris Armas set out the lineup card for the first match in four months, with Aaron Long making his first start of the season and Jason Pendant making his MLS debut.

Long and Pendant will be joined on the backline by Amro Tarek and Kyle Duncan, ahead of David Jensen in goal for the third-straight match.

Captain Sean Davis and Cristian Cásseres Jr. will anchor the midfield, while Florian Valot, Daniel Royer, Tom Barlow and Kaku round out the Starting XI.

Due to the new MLS rules, the gameday roster has been increased to 23 players, with five subs allowed during the match. On his bench, Armas will have Patrick Seagrist, Jared Stroud, Sean Nealis, Ben Mines, Ryan Meara, Alex Muyl, Omir Fernandez, Tim Parker, Mandela Egbo, Kendall McIntosh, Chris Lema and Marc Rzatkowski.

Egbo, Stroud and Lema are all making their first appearances on an MLS gameday roster.

Brian White was held off the gameday roster following a knock in training.

The Red Bulls (1-0-1, 4 pts) and Atlanta United FC (2-0-0, 6 pts) kick off Group E Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on FOX and TUDN.
