Keys to the Game: NYRB II @ Hartford Athletic

Corfe vs. HFD

New York Red Bulls II head to Dillon Stadium with a playoff spot on the line against Hartford Athletic

Here are the Three Keys to the Game:
Keep Being Aggressive

New York Red Bulls II are coming off their largest margin of victory this season after defeating Philadelphia Union II, 6-0, on Wednesday, September 9. “Obviously, we score a few goals, but that just happens a lot of the times with the way we play, we are aggressive, so once we get an edge, we have the capability of pushing the game in that direction,” Head Coach John Wolyniec said. If NYRB II continue to be aggressive, more chances will come.

Sowe, Sowe, Sowe

NYRB II forward Omar Sowe started the season strong scoring two goals in four matches but suffered a minor injury that kept him out for a couple weeks. Sowe bounced back in a big way against Union II recording his first professional hat trick. With Sebastian Elney out, Sowe helped fill the No. 9 role in a big way. Expect Sowe to have a bunch of chances at goal against Hartford.

Staying in the Hunt

When the match starts tonight, Hartford will be seven points ahead of NYRB II in the Group F standings. NYRB II will look to minimize that lead by securing a result against Hartford. With only a handful of games left after this, a result will make these last few games down the stretch very important.
