BZ1_0072

New York Red Bulls defender Aaron Long came on in the 65th minute to replace teammate Miles Robinson as the United States Men’s National Team led the World Cup Qualifying match against Panama on Sunday night.

Their second of three qualifying matches, played at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida, the USMNT dominated Panama and captain Christian Pulisic scored his first hat trick for the national team.

Long came on to add strength in the back line against Panama’s attempts to break through the USMNT’s defense. However, the heavily physical matchup resulted in a yellow card for Long in the 84th minute.

The USMNT came out of the match with a 5-1 victory over Panama and now look to clinch their place in the 2022 World Cup Tournament with their final qualifying match against Costa Rica on Wednesday, March 30 at Estadio National (San Jose, Costa Rica) at 9:05 p.m.
