During New York Red Bulls II’s match against Birmingham Legion FC on August 28, midfielder Bento Estrela made his professional debut, coming on in the 68th minute.
The 16-year-old recently returned from United States U-17 Men’s Youth National Team Camp, where he spent August 18-24. The camp marked his first with the United States after spending multiple camps with Portugal’s youth teams.
Estrela is the youngest Homegrown signing in club history, and recently made an appearance at the MLS NEXT All-Star game in Minnesota on August 10.
