New York Red Bulls midfielder Dennis Gjengaar has been selected to Norway U-21 National Team for upcoming UEFA U-21 EURO Qualifying.
Gjengaar, 21, is in his second season with the Red Bulls, where he has made 46 MLS appearances and has recorded four goals and two assists. This season, Gjengaar has made 21 MLS appearances and scored two goals and tallied one assist.
The midfielder has featured for various Norway Youth National Teams, including the U-15’s, U-17’s, U-18’s, U-19’s, and U-20’s. He has made 18 career appearances for the youth national teams and have scored two goals. Gjengaar made his first appearance for the Norway U-21’s, on June 6, 2025, in a 4-0 win over Wales U-21. The Horten, Norway native was most recently called up to an international friendly match with Norway U-21 in October.
Gjengaar and Norway will face off against Israel on Friday, November 14 in Kecskemet, Hungary followed by a matchup against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, November 18 at Stadium Grbavica in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
