Fidel Escobar Logs 30 Minutes in World Cup Qualifying Loss to Mexico

New York Red Bulls defender and Panamanian International Fidel Escobar entered as a second-half sub in his country's 1-0 loss to Mexico on Friday night.


Escobar and Panama now sit in fifth in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying Hexagonal, only ahead of Trinidad & Tobago.


Escobar entered in the 58th minute, and made 12 correct passes to his three incorrect passes.


Elsewhere in the CONCACAF group, the United States lost 2-0 to Costa Rica at Red Bull Arena. Honduras beat Trinidad & Tobago 2-1, as well.



Escobar's Red Bulls teammate Michael Amir Murillo was on the gameday roster, but did not play.


Panama return to action on Tuesday, September 5 against T&T.
