With a 58th minute equalizer that helped bring the Red Bulls back from a 2-0 deficit to draw with Charlotte FC on Wednesday, Cameron Harper has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday.

The goal was Harper’s first of the season and third in his MLS career. After a first half in which Charlotte netted two goals, it was a 53rd minute goal from Dante Vanzeir and Harper’s equalizer that secured the point for the Red Bulls.

With the draw, New York ended its 47-game streak of losses when down by multiple goals, the longest active streak in the MLS.

The right-winger has also notched two assists in his career since being acquired by the Red Bulls in 2021.

At just 21 years old, starting in 14 matches so far this season, Harper has been a versatile part of the Red Bulls’ lineup.
