GOLD CUP: Kemar Lawrence, Jamaica Top Honduras, 3-2

Kemar Lawrence and the Reggae Boyz won their opening match of the 2019 Gold Cup, 3-2, over Honduras on Monday night in Jamaica.


Lawrence started and played the full match for Jamaica, who took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Honduras was able to pull one back, before Damion Lowe scored the eventual game-winner in the 56th minute. Honduras was able to add a goal in stoppage time.


Jamaica sits at the top of Group C, with three points, tied with El Salvador.


Lawrence and Jamaica are back in action on Friday, June 21 vs. El Salvador at 7 p.m. ET.
