INSIDE THE 18: Back Line Looks for Second Clean Sheet in a Row -

Ryan Meara and the defense of Jason Pendant, Amro Tarek, Tim Parker and Kyle Duncan will look to notch their second cleansheet in a row on Wednesday night against Toronto FC at Rentschler Field on the campus of the University of Connecticut.

Meara posted his second cleansheet of 2020 and his sixth career MLS regular-season shutout. The Yonkers native sits seventh in MLS with a .750 save percentage (minimum seven starts), per Opta, and has allowed just one goal or less in 19 of 30 MLS regular-season matches.

The same back line kept the opponents off the board in a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United FC over the weekend.

Dru Yearwood, Marc Rzatkowski, Florian Valot and Jared Stroud will work in the midfield, while Tim Barlow and Brian White lead the attack.

New York has won three of the last four meetings against Toronto with three clean sheets and outscoring TFC, 6-3.

Interim Head Coach Bradley Carnell will have Samuel Tetteh, Sean Nealis, Mathias Jørgensen, Sean Davis, Aaron Long, Caden Clark, Mandela Egbo and Daniel Royer on the bench. David Jensen will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Clark is the fifth youngest player in MLS history to score on his MLS debut. The previous fifth youngest was Ben Mines, who was 17 year, 301 days when he scored against Portland in March of 2018. He became the third-youngest goal scorer in franchise history at 17 years, 136 days, behind Eddie Gaven (16 years, 253 days) and Jozy Altidore (16 years, 314 days).

Coverage on MSG begins at 7 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7 p.m.
