The Red Bulls and New York City FC will meet for Leg Two of the New York Derby on Sunday. RBNY has taken the season series three of the previous five, having only lost one series in 2017. The Red Bulls took Leg One on August 20 at Red Bull Arena as Kyle Duncan scored the game-winning goal in the 59th minute. RBNY has four different players on the active roster that have tallied at least one goal against NYCFC in regular-season play, which includes Daniel Royer (3), Kaku (1), Florian Valot (1) and Duncan.

The Red Bulls continue their strong run of form as the regular-season is winding down, stringing together a five-match unbeaten streak with two wins and three ties. All five of New York’s game-deciding goals have come in the second half with the last four coming in the 77th minute or later. The Red Bulls five-match unbeaten streak is the second-longest active streak in MLS behind Philadelphia’s six game unbeaten run (5-0-1).

Defender Aaron Long added his name to the late-game goal scorers to help produce a game-changing result for New York this season with his 89th minute game-winning goal against New England on Wednesday. Long’s game winner raised his career total to eight MLS regular-season goals to become the franchise leader for goals by a defender, surpassing Steve Jolley.

New York concludes the regular-season slate with a home match against Toronto FC on Sunday, November 8. Sunday's match at Red Bull Arena will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and have coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish.
