HARRISON, N.J. (August 1, 2022) –The New York Red Bulls (10-6-6, 36 pts.) will host the Colorado Rapids (6-9-6, 24 pts.) at Red Bull Arena for the first time since 2019 on Tuesday, August 2. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

Coverage on MSG begins at 7 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

This will be the 44th overall regular season meeting between New York and Colorado, with Colorado holding the advantage in the series with a 19-17-7 mark. The Red Bulls have posted a 3-1-3 record against Colorado at Red Bull Arena. Currently, New York sits in third place in the Eastern Conference with 36 points, while Colorado is in 12th place in the Western Conference with 24 points. The Rapids have won one match in their last eight matches, which was a victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on July 16.

The Red Bulls have won five of their last six matches across all competitions at Red Bull Arena and have outscored their opponents, 14-4, in those matches. New York have scored 34 goals this season, which ranks the sixth most in MLS. The Red Bulls have scored three or more goals eight times this season, after only doing that once last season.

Midfielder Lewis Morgan has scored a goal in four of the club’s last five home matches at Red Bull Arena. Morgan currently leads the club with 12 goals across all competitions and currently ranks tied for third among active MLS midfielders this season in goals scored with nine MLS goals. The Scottish winger has scored two goals outside the 18-yard-box this season, which ranks tied for fourth in MLS with fellow Red Bulls midfielder Luquinhas.

Following Tuesday’s match, the Red Bulls head to Audi Field for the second time this season to face D.C. United on Saturday, August 6.
