New York Red Bulls defender Michael Amir Murillo and Fidel Escobar closed out the international break with two 90-minute performances on Tuesday evening, for Panama, in a 2-1 loss to Ecuador at Rommel Fernandez Stadium in Panama City, Panama.
Ecuador opened the scoring in the 58th minute of the match, with Panama responding with the equalizer in the 84th minute. Ecuador scored the game-winner in the 88th minute.
Both players will return to Red Bulls training ahead of Sunday’s leg one of the Eastern Conference Championship in the 2018 Audio MLS Cup Playoffs against Atlanta United FC. The match will be televised on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 5 p.m. ET.
