New York Red Bulls Caden Clark and Aaron Long Called Into U.S. Men’s National Team Camp

HARRISON, N.J. (December 3, 2021) – New York Red Bulls midfielder Caden Clark and defender Aaron Long will join the United State Men’s National Team December Camp, U.S. Soccer announced today. The two-week December camp will conclude with a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 18 at Dignity Health Sports Park. Kickoff between USMNT and Bosnia and Herzegovina is set for 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast nationally on FS1, UniMás and TUDN.

Long, who has been recovering from an Achilles injury, is set to make his official return to the national team for the first time since the March camp against Jamaica (March 25) and Northern Ireland (March 28). The Oak Hills, California, native did returned to the national team during the November World Cup Qualifiers, but not officially on the team’s roster. Long has amassed 21 caps for the U.S. with three goals, two assists and anchoring a backline to 10 cleansheets in 1,713 minutes played. He has donned the captain’s armband in five matches, all of which have been shutouts.

Clark, who is set to join RB Leipzig at the turn of the calendar, earns his first career USMNT call up. The Medina, Minnesota, native most recently competed with the Under-20 U.S Men’s National Team in the 2021 Revelations Cup. Clark recorded his first two caps for country, which included his first start against U-18 Brazil then wore the captain’s armband in a 1-1 draw against U-19 Colombia.
