New York Red Bulls defender Kyle Duncan Named to USYNT U-23 January Camp

HARRISON, N.J. (January 11, 2021) – New York Red Bulls defender and Brooklyn native Kyle Duncan has received an Under-23 U.S. Men’s National Team call-up for January camp, U.S. Soccer announced today.


Duncan recently made his senior debut for country in a 6-0 victory over El Salvador in an international friendly at Inter Miami CF Stadium on December 10, 2020. The New York native entered the match for Julian Araujo and logged 16 minutes. He made his debut for the United States at the youth level for the U-18s back in December of 2014 against Germany’s U-18 squad, tallying two starts and 168 minutes played.


Duncan was a standout on defense in 2020, finishing second in the league in Duels won (180), fifth in interceptions (49), and seventh amongst field players in recoveries (168), all according to Opta. The right-back appeared in all of New York’s 24 games played, starting 21 of 23 regular season games as well as the playoff match. Duncan also contributed offensively with three goals and four assists, both career-highs in his third MLS season.
