HARRISON, N.J. (November 4, 2023) – New York Red Bulls II goalkeeper Aidan Stokes has been selected to represent the U-16 Wales Youth National Team for the Victory Shield Tournament in Wales starting on Monday, November 6th.
This will be the third Youth National Team call for Stokes, 15, and his first for the nation of Wales. The goalkeeper had previously been called into two training camps in the past year for the United States U-15 Youth National Team.
The Youth National Team call for Stokes is his first since signing an MLS NEXT Pro contract with New York Red Bulls II on April 19th. The Totowa, New Jersey, native will start a First Team deal as a Homegrown starting in 2024.
Stokes will be on the roster for three matches against Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, and Scotland through Saturday, November 11th.
