Red Bull New York Forward Roald Mitchell Called Up to Trinidad and Tobago National Team for March Friendly

Red Bull New York forward Roald Mitchell has been called up to the Trinidad and Tobago National Team for their upcoming March international friendly. 

Mitchell, 23, is in his third season with the Red Bulls. This season, Mitchell has made one appearance for the Red Bulls, and he also has made three appearances for Red Bull New York II, where he has recorded two goals and tallied one assist. In 2025, Mitchell scored nine goals in 15 MLS NEXT Pro appearances, which included five goals during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. This was the most goals during a single postseason run by a player in MLS NEXT Pro history. 

This will be Mitchell’s second call-up to a Trinidad and Tobago National Team roster. In his last call-up in November of 2025, the forward made his senior national team debut in a 1-1 draw against Jamaica, where he substituted on and played 23 minutes. Mitchell also was a member of a Trinidad and Tobago U-20 camp. 

Mitchell and Trinidad and Tobago will partake in two international friendlies during the March FIFA International window. First, they will take on Venezuela on Friday, March 27 and then they will face Gabon on Monday, March 30.
