HARRISON, N.J. (June 12, 2023) – New York Red Bulls midfielder Cristian Cásseres, Jr. has been selected to the Venezuela Men’s National Team roster for their upcoming friendlies in June.
Cásseres, Jr. and Venezuela will play two international friendlies, first against Honduras on Thursday, June 15 and then Guatemala on Sunday, June 18. The Caracas, Venezuela native has made 19 caps for Venezula and has made 10 starts over 933 minutes played.
Cásseres, Jr. is in his sixth season with the Red Bulls and has appeared in 15 matches, while playing 1,305 minutes. Last season, Cásseres, Jr. set a new career-high in minutes played (2,200) and assists (6), which he was tied for the club lead. The midfielder reached his 100th career MLS appearance on February 25 against Orlando City SC.
