The New York Red Bulls will head on the road to play the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinal away from home.
RBNY will play the winner of Orlando City SC and Nashville SC, with that match to be played on June 29, at either Exploria Stadium or Geodis Park.
With a victory in the semifinal, the Red Bulls have a chance at hosting the final at Red Bull Arena, but only if the opponent is Sacramento Republic FC. New York will have to head on the road if Sporting Kansas City beats Sacramento, setting up a re-match of the 2017 U.S. Open Cup Final.
Time and date of the Open Cup semifinal vs. the winner of Orlando/Nashville will be determined at a later date, but will likely be one of July 26-27.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final can be played September 6, 7, 13 or 14.
