The Red Bulls closed out the final preseason match of the 2012 season Saturday night with a 1-0 loss to Real Salt Lake (

). Despite a number of strong opportunities on offense, New York was unable to capitalize as a goal from Chris Wingert in the 28th minute was all RSL would need to seal the win and claim third place in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup.
New York returns home to New Jersey late Sunday night and will resume practice as usual on the campus of Montclair State University Tuesday morning. Later in the week the team will jet off to Texas as they look to take on FC Dallas Sunday, March 11, in the season opener at FC Dallas Stadium. The 3pm ET kick off marks the first game that will air on Major League Soccer's newest broadcast partner, NBC.
