ABOUT THE MATCH

The Red Bulls will travel up I-95 to face the Revolution and are looking to win their third game in eight days. New England earned a 0-0 tie against the Portland Timbers at JELD-WEN Field on May 2 and most recently fell, 2-1, at home to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday. The Revolution (2-4-3, 9 points), currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, went ahead with a Ryan Guy goal. However, Devon Sandoval and a 89th minute strike from Olmes Garcia proved to be enough for the visitors, with Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando saving a Saer Sene penalty kick in second half stoppage time to preserve the three points. New England made an addition on Tuesday, acquiring forward and former Red Bulls Academy product Juan Agudelo from Chivas USA in exchange for allocation money.

This will be the second of three games between the two teams in 2013. On April 20 at Red Bull Arena, four different Red Bulls found the back of the net as New York defeated New England, 4-1. New York has a 20-26-13 overall record against New England (4-18-6 on the road). The Red Bulls were 1-1-1 versus the Revs in 2012 and tied 1-1 on Sept. 22 at Gillette Stadium in their last trip to Foxborough.
