It appears that New York Red Bulls defender Heath Pearce is more than just a pretty face with 35 caps for the US national team to his name. On Tuesday, he became a true fashionista, showing off the latest trends and his serious interest and passion for fashion.
Pearce teamed up with fashion online retailer Gilt recently to model and promote some of the newest summer office styles. Pearce's office is obviously different than other guys' offices, but that doesn't keep the 28-year-old from dressing to the nines on game day when walking into Red Bull Arena.
"I feel like I've been able to take a little bit from each culture and each place that I've lived, and tried to implement it into my style, which hopefully is the best in our locker room," Pearce told editiorial resource for men, Gilt MANual, in a recent interview. "I dress to compete every game day. I don't know if anybody is trying to compete with me, but I try to look sharp, I try to look fresh."
The Gilt sale featuring Pearce's modeling went live on Gilt Tuesday at noon ET, so check Heath out in action on the soccer field while sutied up, dressed to impress.
For many with a true passion for fashion, dressing is not only about what you wear out of the house in the morning, but a means by which to express yourself. This is no doubt true for Pearce as well. "When I shop or do stuff, I like to express myself in a way that is me," he went on to say in the interview with Gilt MANual.
That tan-colored suit, that purple shirt with those white shoes — those are definitely you, and definitely fresh, Mr. Pearce.
