WORLD CUP DIARY: Tyler Adams' First Dispatch from South Korea

Tyler Adams US Soccer

New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams is in South Korea to play in the U-20 World Cup. The United States U-20 Men's National team played to an exciting 3-3 draw on Monday morning. Adams sent in a dispatch from South Korea to NewYorkRedBulls.com...

After our first game against Ecuador, our team is looking to respond in a big way.

Our team character was tested in the first match -- our relentlessness to overcome the obstacle of a tough opponent -- and we earned a hard fought point. We know it won’t get any easier as we prepare for our second match against Senegal on Thursday.

The first two matches we play are at one venue, in Incheon, and our last match against Saudi Arabia will be played in Daejeon.

Our preparation continues each and every day, from training to regeneration sessions.

The feeling of being a champion within CONCACAF was great, but we know the job isn’t over yet. We know that we have the depth within the team, talent, and resilience to make a run in this World Cup.

Adams and the U.S. is back at Incheon Football Stadium to take on Senegal in their second game of Group F play on Thursday, May 25. Kickoff is set for 7 a.m. ET on FS1, FOX Sports Go and Telemundo.
