HARRISON, N.J. (Sept. 25, 2017) –  The New York Red Bulls (12-11-6) and D.C. United (9-17-4) meet for the second match of the Atlantic Cup rivalry on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn in English and Spanish.


Coverage of Wednesday’s match on MSG begins at 7 p.m. with Honda Red Bulls Game Night. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Tina Cervasio.


New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 6:30 p.m. ET with triHonda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon alongside Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will have the Spanish play-by-play call for the New York Red Bulls Radio and will be live at 7:30 p.m.








After three of the last four matches on the road, New York returns to Red Bull Arena on Wednesday. The Red Bulls have strung together a five-match home MLS unbeaten streak and six straight across all competition. Over the last six matches, New York has outscored its opponents, 14-4 and have tallied two clean sheets.


New York and D.C. United will face one another for the 73rd time, which is the most matches New York has faced an MLS opponent. D.C owns a slight edge in the all-time series at 34-26-12. The Red Bulls, however, have gotten the better of DC, going 4-2-3 overall since 2015, which includes a 2-0 mark in the 2015 playoffs.



Bradley Wright-Phillips inched closer to the 100-goal plateau across all competitions, as he tallied his 16th goal of 2017, 85th career MLS goal and 97th career goal across all competition against Columbus. Wright-Phillips, who scored just four times through the first 12 matches, has recorded 12 goals in the last 16 games.


New York heads back on the road for the fifth time in the last seven matches to face Toronto on Saturday, Sept. 30 at BMO Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG and New York Red Bulls Radio on Tunein.
