Jamaican international and New York Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence has been nominated for the CONCACAF Defender of the Year and Goal of the Year.

The Red Bulls defender started each game of the 2017 Gold Cup for his country.

Lawrence's free kick for the Reggae Boyz in the CONCACAF Gold Cup is one of 10 goals up the award.

You can vote for Lawrence as defender of the year and for goal of the year on CONCACAF's website.

Against Mexico, after 87 minutes of scoreless soccer, Lawrence stepped up for Jamaica on a free kick opportunity, earned by Michael Binns.

From approximately 25-yards out, the defender blasted the free kick into the top-left corner of the net to win the match for Jamaica and send the Reggae Boyz back to the Gold Cup Finals.

The 88th minute goal was Lawrence’s only of 2017 Gold Cup.

Lawrence and Jamaica eventually fell to the United States in the Gold Cup Final, 2-1.
Voting is open until December 13.
