Match Preview: NYRB II Look to Bounce Back Against Indy Eleven

HARRISON, N.J. (April 25, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will look to bounce back, when they host Indy Eleven on April 28 at MSU Soccer Park. Kick-off is set for 5 p.m. ET and can be seen live on ESPN+.


NYRB II suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Loudoun United FC last Saturday afternoon.  Forward Mathias Jørgensen scored his first goal of the season in the fourth minute of action.


NYRB II and Indy Eleven will face off for the third time in series history, with each team taking one a piece. The last time out in New York, NYRB II dominated and won the match by a score of 4-1. Forward Tom Barlow scored his first professional goal in stoppage time.


Indy Eleven is coming off a 3-0 road victory against Bethlehem Steel FC. They have won their last four matches, after losing their first match of the season to Saint Louis FC. Indy currently sits in third place with a total of 12 points. 


NYRB II have not lost back-to-back matches since July 15, 2017, when they lost two straight matches in a three-day span against Penn F.C. and Charlotte Independence.  


Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II will return home to face Birmingham Legion FC on May 1. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.
