HARRISON, N.J. (March 9, 2021) – New York Red Bulls II have named Jeremy Proud goalkeeper coach, the club announced today.

Proud most recently has been the Goalkeeper Coach for Red Bulls Academy since February 2019, training the up-and-coming goalkeepers from the Academy.

“We are very excited to add Jeremy [Proud] to our coaching staff,” said NYRB II Head Coach John Wolyniec. “The work he has done with our Academy goalkeepers over the last two years has been exciting to watch and we are pleased to welcome him aboard."

The Auburn, Washington native spent 14 years coaching at the Men’s NCAA Division One Level, which included stops at University of Akron, University of Louisville, Loyola University of Chicago, and SIUE.

Proud has coached at Chicago Fire Soccer Academy and with Saint Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club as well.

Prior to coaching, Proud played at Fresno State University, where he left the school as the all-times saves leader and earned All-Pac 10 honors his senior year in 2002.

“It is an honor for me to be appointed to the New York Red Bulls II staff and I am excited to be working with John [Wolyniec], Ibrahim [Sekagya], and the entire staff and players,” Proud said. “I had a fantastic experience working with the Academy for the past two years and glad this position will allow me to maintain a close connection to academy coaches and players, as well as work closely with Jyri Nieminen to develop all the goalkeepers at New York Red Bulls.”

Proud hold his United Soccer Goalkeeping National License and USSF “A” License, which he earned in 2011.
