Match Preview: NYRB II Travels to Face Loudoun United FC in Final Match of Season

HARRISON, N.J. (October 29, 2021) – New York Red Bulls II (6-18-7, 25 points) will travel to face Loudoun United FC (4-24-3, 15 points) on Saturday, October 30, marking the final match of the season for both clubs. Kickoff from Segra Field is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, with coverage available on ESPN+.

The match marks the fourth meeting between the two sides this season. New York leads the season series 2-0-1, with the most recent match being a 3-0 victory on October 20. Forward Luther Archimede and defender Mandela Egbo have two goals each against Loudoun this season. Goalkeeper AJ Marcucci has started all three matches, recording eight saves and a clean sheet.

New York will look to bounce back following a 2-0 loss to Miami FC on Sunday, October 24. The defeat ended a stretch in which the club earned a result in four of five matches.

Loudoun is led by goalkeeper Jermaine Fordah, who ranks third in the USL Championship with 97 saves.

New York currently sits in seventh place of the Atlantic Division, while Loudoun ranks eighth. They fell 1-0 to the Charlotte Independence on Wednesday, October 27.
