New York Red Bulls II midfielder Steven Sserwadda has been named to the preliminary roster of the Ugandan National Team ahead of their two 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches in June.
Uganda will travel to face Algeria on June 4 and return home to host Niger on June 8.
It marks the second time this year that Sserwadda has been called in for Uganda, as he made two appearances in March at the 2022 Navruz Cup. He logged 85 minutes over those matches, including a 65-minute start against Uzbekistan.
