INSIDE THE 18: Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Kicks Off in Dominican Republic

The New York Red Bulls Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League campaign begins on Wednesday night with Leg 1 of the Round of 16.


New York will face off against Club Atlético Pantoja in the Dominican Republic and Head Coach Chris Armas will deploy a familiar lineup.


Bradley Wright-Phillips will start up top for the Red Bulls, with the attacking midfielders of Daniel Royer, Kaku and Alex Muyl behind.



Marc Rzatkowski and Sean Davis will anchor the defensive midfield.


Connor Lade, Aaron Long, Tim Parker and Michael Amir Murillo make up the backline.


Luis Robles captains the side and starts in goal.


Armas will have Amro Tarek, Marcus Epps, Omir Fernandez, Cristian Casseres, Jr., Brian White and Kemar Lawrence off the bench. Evan Louro will serve as the backup keeper.


Andreas Ivan and Kyle Duncan traveled with the team, but will not dress for the match.


Derrick Etienne, Jr., has a muscle strain and is working back to full fitness.
