NYRB II vs. Loudon

What to Watch For: NYRB II vs. North Carolina FC

New York Red Bulls II will return home to face North Carolina F.C. on Friday, May 24, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET. The match can be seen live on ESPN+.

NYRB II suffered their second loss of the season to the Tampa Bay Rowdies on May 18. They will look to bounce back when North Carolina comes to town. NYRB II have not lost two games in a row since July 15th, 2017 when they lost two consecutive matches in a week to Harrisburg City Islanders and Charlotte Independence. Do not be surprised if that famous NYRB II attack is unleashed in this match.

New York Red Bulls II defender Sean Nealis has been featuring for the first team with the injury of Aaron Long, but with a one-game suspension for Tim Parker, it looks like Nealis will be staying with the first team. That means a likely start for rookie defender Preston Kilwien. Kilwien has appeared in four matches and in those matches NYRB II have only allowed two goals. This is another opportunity for the rookie to make an impact in.

The match against North Carolina F.C. will also be NYRB II’s annual Military Appreciation Night. A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to K9 for Warriors and special-themed kits made for the match will be auctioned off.  Also, it is DOLLAR HOT DOG NIGHT.

New York Red Bulls II will host Bethlehem Steel FC on Friday, May 31, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET. For tickets, visit www.newyorkredbulls.com/2/tickets or call 1.877.727.7585.
