HARRISON, N.J. (July 3, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will return home to host Ottawa Fury SC on July 5, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET. The match can be seen live on ESPN+.
NYRB II are coming off a 1-1 draw on the road against Charleston Battery. The club remained unbeaten at Charleston, after forward Mathias Jørgensen leveled the match in the 80th minute, this was his sixth goal of the season.
This will be the second meeting of the season for the two clubs. The first meeting ended in a 1-1 draw, with NYRB II midfielder Jared Stroud scoring a late equalizer in second half stoppage time to help NYRB II secure a point on the road.
Ottawa Fury FC were defeated, 2-1, by the Tampa Bay Rowdies on the road. This snapped Ottawa’s ten-match unbeaten streak, which started on April 28. Forward Mour Samb has scored seven goals in 14 appearances.
Following Friday’s match, NYRB II will hit the road to face Bethlehem Steel FC at Talen Energy Stadium on July 10, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
