Stroud, Lema, Zajec

HARRISON, N.J. (July 17, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will travel to face Memphis 901 FC at AutoZone Park on Saturday, with kick-off set for 8:30 p.m. ET.

NYRB II are coming off a dominating victory over Atlanta United 2, which saw NYRB II set a club record for most goals in a single match with eight. The eight goals scored is one behind the USL Championship record set by Reno 1868 FC in 2017. Midfielder Chris Lema set a new club record for most goals scored in a single game by a player with four. Midfielder Jared Stroud added a brace and an assist in the victory.

Earlier this year, NYRB II defeated Memphis 901 FC, 3-2, at MSU Soccer Park on March 29. Stroud opened the scoring in that one in the 18th minute, which was the third fastest goal this season for NYRB II. Derrick Etienne, Jr. would score the game-winning goal to secure the three points for NYRB II.

Memphis 901 FC are currently 15th in the Eastern Conference with 14 points. They are coming off a 4-1 win against Hartford Athletic, which saw forward Elliot Collier score a hat-trick and secure USL Championship Player of the Week honors.  They will host Nashville SC tonight at AutoZone Park, prior to the match against NYRB II on Saturday night.

Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II will host Eastern Conference leaders, Tampa Bay Rowdies, on Friday, July 26, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
