MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Clark's Golazo Gives Red Bulls Away Point

The New York Red Bulls took a point away from their game against Toronto in Connecticut thanks to a Caden Clark golazo. The Red Bulls head back to Red Bull Arena to host Orlando City this Sunday. 


The Sevilla, Spain native, Alejandro Pozuelo, opened the scoreline from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute to give Toronto the lead. 


Six minutes later, Florian Valot attempted a strong left-footed shot that goalkeeper Quentin Westberg saved.


Dru Yearwood took a rip outside the box in the 33rd minute and saw his shot hit the back of the net, but seconds later his goal was disallowed by the referee. 


After 45 minutes played, goalkeeper Ryan Meara made two saves, and the Red Bulls won 26 of their duels.  


The first two substitutions for the Red Bulls were Clark and Danny Royer taking Jared Stroud and Brian White’s places on the pitch. 


In the 68th minute, Samuel Tetteh came onto the pitch for Tom Barlow. 


In the 73rd minute, Tim Parker blocked a Pozuelo attempt and prevented Toronto to take a 2-0 lead. 


Clark scored a left-footed golazo from outside the box to leave things at 1-1.
