Regional Development School
The New York Red Bulls set the pace for elite soccer training in the Tri-State area, as the first MLS team to boast a satellite based, pre-academy feeder system: the Regional Development School (RDS).
Offering advanced soccer players the opportunity to develop their game on a supplementary basis, the RDS is the single most successful route into the Academy teams, providing over 95% of Academy players since 2010.
Intended for competitive and elite travel level soccer players aged 7 to 14, the advanced curriculum is specially designed to target individual technical aspects of the game.
RDS is available year-round, with a variety of programs during the fall, winter, spring, and summer. For more information on your chosen season of training, click on the appropriate season from the pop-out menu.
Fall 2020 (CoVid-19 adjustments):
This fall, the RDS will operate a limited schedule at outdoor locations in New Jersey and New York.
Additionally, to reduce density during the covid-19 pandemic, returning participants are pre-qualified for the fall 2020 season.
Players who have participated in the RDS within the past 18 months will have their applications automatically accepted and are invited to join the first week of training. For new applicants, the try-out is a pre-requisite.
