Overview
Each spring the New York Red Bulls hosts the RDS Spring Invitational, an elite invitation-only tournament for U11 and U10 boys. This select tournament includes top teams in the New York Metro area and beyond and is hosted at Red Bull’s state-of-the-art first-team training facility.
As a show of Red Bull commitment to our ideals of youth player development, the Invitational is completely cost-free to participants, no scores are kept and there are no playoffs or tournament winners. The event is intended as a friendly tournament created to give all the young players the opportunity to play in a top-level event at a wonderful facility.
Instead of tournament winners, at the end of each game, a delegate from each team will nominate two players from the opponent as game MVPs. These nominees will garner points toward each team’s Most Valuable Player. Each team’s tournament MVP and other awardees are then recognized on the field at Sports Illustrated Stadium at a New York Red Bulls MLS match shortly after.
